Yeah shooting Rock and Roll and Metal even on a well lit stage is hard to do so don't even talk about clubs that are half lit. Then also you get the lead singer who doesn't know how to USE a spotlight and will be half in and half out of the light.
Really best bands to shoot for first gigs are folk bands because they don't move around too much.
If you ever get a chance to shoot JazzFest in New Orleans it is a cool set up since it's daytime and they even add stage lights! (BTW it ain't just Jazz Musicians that play there-they have their performers list up now but not the break out by day or the cubes (break out by stage and time) which should be up in the next week or two.) |
