Still trying out the Nik software. This shot has had Color Efex Pro Soft focus filter run twice at different levels with different masks and Silver Efex Pro run twice with two different filters. Kind of digging the look. What do you think about the end result?

It starts to resemble a Vaseline/petroleum jelly lens effect that a friend of mine was experimenting with a while ago.

Are you masking the subject at all after you dual process the soft focus? Also, have you tried throwing the CFP Glamour Glow in prior to running the soft focus? It will halo so of your bokeh a bit more.

Masking the face between Soft focus runs some and then once in the silver efex process.

That was my guess. I like the effect. I'm also curious how many iterations you can run on the soft focus before it becomes less appealing.

At three it was beyond what I would call exceptable. By the time you masked it down it would almost be non-existant. If you localized it to different areas that didnt overlap you could run it more.
