Milind, I tried it with the white background with no luck. Would backlighting the bubbles help?

Backlighting or side-lighting, as you have done, I believe, are necessary to show the bubbles through.

What's more important, I think, is contrasting the bubble color with the background. That's why they showed up better against the black. Any darker background may have worked. Need to research if there is a way of coloring the bubbles based on tinting the solution used. That may show them up better against white.

If the bubbles were bigger or shot from a close distance and had (as seen sometimes) their pinkish/reddish edge, that may contrast well with high key white background, too. Maybe worthwhile trying the clown blowing a large bubble.

Miss Graves looks like a fun teacher who enjoys her job. What district? Our teachers would NEVER get away with such "clowning around" in the Klein ISD. Kindergarten is serious business down here.

Ken, Lyndsie was a lot of fun and came with some good ideas. We tried to come up with photographs she could use in the classroom with her students - lightbulb (Ideas), Please be quite (Shhh).
