Joe, there is such an abundance of images here that comments will be hard to get - too many images! I think you'll get comments if you first edit your images yourself and select only a few, maybe 2 or 3, that you think represent you best work - then you ask for CC on those.

I enjoy street photography, and it's really hard to do well - what I first noticed in this set is just the random nature of the shots - you're pointing the camera everywhere and snapping anything that looks interesting to you - nothing wrong with that, but you posted to the People section, so maybe you should edit down your set to only people.

One more thing on editing (I mean selecting images from a set, not postprocessing them) - be ruthless with your selection process - if the image has obvious technical problems and nothing there to compensate for them, then toss them real quick. A good example is your last image. The tougher you are on yourself, you sooner you'll get a portfolio of images to feel good about - and the better the feedback from others will be.

If these were my images and I were to edit it down to my top choices, I'd keep 8 and 9 only. Image 8 is interesting because of the fortuitous combination of the man and the woman unaware of each other, counterpointed by the bar ad of the man and a woman being happy together, seemingly observing the real world of people disconnected and unaware of each other. This idea made me pause and look at the picture. I can be almost certain that this was not intentional, but , regardless, the picture has some story telling potential independently of your intentions.

Anyway, some food for thought. Keep on shooting, and edit hard.

yes, one wonders why you chose to post obviously out of focus shots. Way too many shots to go through for critique, but I will state for the record that IMO, for me personally, etc, street shooting is much more interesting when you actually interact with the subjects rather than just voyeuristically taking snaps. Most of these shots arn't interesting... girl talking on cell phone... so what? some of them are nice, but most are "eh" to me.

The lens looks like it's working well though, at least on the ones that are sharp with nice DOF.

The following one is interesting precisely because there was interaction with the subjects.

You should stick to shooting static objects first. The rest of the shots were out of focus, had no planning prior to shooting, more or less like you just put up your camera & shot what/who that came by.

thanks for the comments. i response to your comment about to many images i would like you to view this thread i made here Houston - CityCentre

this is how i intended this to be viewed but the html limitation on this website prevent me from being able to share them in this neatly organized fashion. so yall get the quikr pickr thread that is more jumbled and sporadic.

but i think many of these images have a story such as the asian family waiting with the little boy that is upset; or the gentlemen having conversations over dinner; the two middle eastern women out shopping together; The shop girl; the waitress listening to customers; the valets and security manning their posts; and definitely dont forget the seductive glance from the attractive asian girl.

all the people have stories. also never assume that you know an artists intentions or think that my intentions really make any difference on how an image appeals to you. also never throw out an image just because you dont think that it meets your predefined standards. i have shared this set on a few websites and had over 2000 hits within a few weeks.

also if you would like to see me be more selective in my display you should view this thread. you will not be dissapointed.

i like to interact with the people too but i also enjoy the voyeuristic aspect as well. both are useful. sadly some of the shots did not come out as sharp as i wanted but this was sort of experimental shooting and testing. also the ladies waving made my day. they were very excited to see me strolling around snapping pics so i couldnt resist snapping one of them even if it wasnt a great shot.

Your ego and sense of accomplishment aside, I think that since most of these are OOF, it downgrades the potential that some of them may have had.

The people on this site are here to help, so when you come off as arrogant you're going to alienate yourself from any critique's or anyone even wanting to view your photos.

Just a heads up.

Hey Joe, no problem.

If your intention is to get CC, then post a few pictures. If your intention is to showcase your work, but without any expectations as to whether people will take time to give you helpful feedback, then post links to galleries.

You asked for CC - I gave you my opinions. Take what you like and throw the rest.

I cannot CC your intentions, I can only CC the images. And most of these images seem random and without much artistic merit - this is an opinion, not a fact, and others will have different opinions. Once your images are out there, different people will respond to them differently, and sometimes you'll agree with their opinions and sometimes you won't. If you don't accept this, then I am not sure that asking for CC is going to make you a better photographer.

Number of hits on the internet has 0% correlation with the quality of one's work.

I agree with everyone above but I will also add that most of the images have bad composition. Again it seems you pointed your camera and snapped a picture.

i appreciated your comment. your opinion is quite good. but that does not mean that it cant be expanded or changed. and you dont always have to comment on every photo.
