Taylor, cute images.
The expression and color palette are very nice, especially on the first one with the birds. I think the first one is the better of the two, just because of the interest the birds bring to the story. The second one doesnt have the same charm.
With that said, I see two problems with the images. First, color and saturation processing are over the top - the color of her skin is different on the images, and the saturation is a but excessive, especially on the second image. The second problem is the background - you have a great subject but the background seems to have received little attention - it's busy and chaotic. I know it's hard to pay attention to lighting, composition, pose, background, all at the same time, especially on location - but a busy, distracting background, even if out of focus, can really hurt a good image. One suggestion is to pick the background first, then add your subject to it.
