Gorgeous location, beautiful young lady and great composition.
Almost every shot has her placed to the right of center. Maybe vary that a bit.

a quick note, she looks like a linebacker in the 4th image... broad shoulder, big hips... not a very flattering image. Turn the hips, rotate one of her shoulders toward the camera, tilt her head. Just too square of a pose.

"a quick note, she looks like a linebacker in the 4th image... broad shoulder, big hips... not a very flattering image."
I did not think abut that before, but now when you point it out it is obvious.

I must favor the right side of the frame without thinking about it. I tried to flip a couple in PS, but did not look good. I guess get it right in camera...
Thank you both for feedback!

I think in a society that reads from left to right, placing the subject on the right side of the frame will be most comfortable for most viewers, most of the time. There will always be exceptions of course, but generally I find images more pleasing with the subject on the right side.

Nice use of complimentary colors. I prefer 1 over 2, as 2 looks like she didn't really want her picture taken, while 1 conveys mood.
6 has too much blank space for me. I'd crop from landscape to portrait and tighten the image up around her. She will still stand out in the image.
Nice job overall. | | | |

Thank you all for comments!
Ken, I see what you mean about #6. I'll work on it before I give to mother.
Thanks!

Compare it with the last one; the face angle is similar, but the light gives a lot more depth.

Thank you! It is over by the automotive building, by the long pool/fountain.

I love the locations and everything, but I'm bothered by how far her head is tilted in the first two. I'd like more of her face. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
