Thanks for the comments, Ernst, and Anna.

Mark, I agree with what you say here.
If you were to take a singular image, or say, three variations of the image, and were using that image as sole display/ fine art display/ photo contest submission, it would work with getting CC on just three images.
However personally, as a wedding and portrait photographer that submits entire galleries to clients and my blog (which represents my business and source of income), I really do appreciate getting the insight of the more experienced and skilled peers in this field. So getting input on an entire set of different images really helps in improving. I've learned a tremendous amount since I first started reading these forums a few years ago.
I think it's very restricting by limiting CC threads to three images, but it's Abel's forum, he can do what he wants, and I'll do what I can to follow the rules. At one forum I frequent, there is an eight-image limit to posts, and if there are more, a mod changes them to links or removes them completely from the post. So different strokes, ya know.
To limit the image sharing section to "CC or NO CC" wherein more than three images can only be posted under the "NO CC" title, seems limiting IMO. For example, if I wanted to get feedback on this set, but wanted/needed to post more than three, I would have to put "No CC" on the title, which would discourage people from both commenting and offering suggestions for improvement.
But again, I'll do what I can to follow the rules.

You could also post 2 separate threads "Set 1" and "Set 2" and include links to each other

I am with you on respecting Abel and his rules. I just see this as something that may have the opposite effect of Abel's desire, "to better the community".

I too, really do appreciate getting the insight of the more experienced and skilled peers in this field. Whether it's a bunch of wedding shots from some of our wonderful wedding photographers, or a half dozen or more shots of a senior or newborn series from some of the pros, viewing a wider sampling of the shoot is helpful IMHO. I've even seen instances when a member will for example, include the same shot of a bride, but with say 3 processing variations as part of her overall posting. Very appreciated and very helpful indeed.

It's one thing to limit quantity in an effort to increase technical critique, this rule may help that. but I would hate to do anything to discourage the sharing of style and thought process, for I believe C&C in that area is equally important.
