An interesting challenge, for me anyway, outfits, skin color and hair all added to the fun.

How do I improve these?

I like them, fun costumes. I just wish the "on black" was blacker.

I really like the white though.

The background of the black on black is just enough lighter that you can see the models figure on my monitor anyway. Seems perfect.

Thanks guys. The black/black was the more difficult one to light for me.

I was working with one, camera right, her hair and that hat were like a black hole - sucking in all the light. When I got it positioned or bright enough to see it would spill onto her face/neck.

I find it really interesting, and really cool, that the model's pupils are so dilated in the white-on-white shot. were you keeping the room very dark?

I know this was a lighting exercise, but I want to comment on the posing too. i don't know if that's your or your models' expertise, but it's fantastic in both shots.

The room lighting was subdued not not what I'd call dark. The only modeling light directly on her face was a beauty dish.

It wasn't a lighting 'exercise' it was a fashion (product) shoot for the hat and dress designers. I did enjoy the technical lighting challenge though.

Thank you, the models were experienced and fun to work with.
