I will critique neither the photography or posing. I will say that when we are shooting anything we need to maintain control over what is happening, whether it is a choice of background or posing.

I totally understand what you have said, but since you stated you did not know anything about posing for this type of shot, it might have been a good thing to acquaint yourself with posing for this genre before shooting it. Then you could shoot whatever they wanted and add what you think works for your style.

There are times when people, who are not photographers, think they know what will look best, but sometimes they cannot visualize the final results.

I believe that Leslie said earlier that she did have other poses of her that she selected, but she did not post them. I'm assuming she is just posting the best of what she turned over to the company or what they decided to go with.

I understand that and yes, I totally should have done that, but my brother knew I didn't want to do this shoot, so I didn't go out of my way to acquaint myself with this genre of photography. It was a freebie shoot, and I did it as a favor. I didn't take control because quite frankly I was perfectly fine with this girl setting up the posing. And, she had been a leotard model before, so she thought she knew what she was doing. Besides, she works for my brother, and it was his shoot, and she knew what he wanted. Yes, I do have other angles/poses/closeups and what not. I just didn't feel like editing anymore of these b/c I have to concentrate on all of the paying wedding clients. Again, I really don't mind you critiquing the photography, just not the posing.
