Ian Moore and the Lossy Coils - The Kessler in Dallas Texas - 07-03-2011, 10:51 AM

Critique: NC:

Suzy and I were in town for a private one on one workshop this past week and noticed that our good friend Ian Moore and his band were playing at The Kessler in Dallas. Having not been to this venue and well with nothing to do for the night we took it upon ourselves to crash the party and take some snaps of the guys before the show and of course during.

A dark venue but one with a neat vibe to it most were captured at 3200ISO or higher just to give me some shutter speed to help freeze the action. A great show with lots of energy involved.

#1 - Amazing Bar B Que from Cooper's in Llano, Texas. Ian cut it up himself and served it to the crowd as the show started!

#2 - Ian writing the set list for the nights performance backstage

#3 - Ian and the guys going over last minute changes to the set list and adding their input, backstage at the Kessler

#4 - Ian Moore losing up his fingers getting ready to go on stage.

#5 - Ian live on stage at The Kessler, in Dallas Texas

#6 - Matt Harris, truly one of the best Bass players I have ever seen preforming on stage

I was honored to have Ian fly in from his tour with Jason Mraz in South America to play at our wedding, something I was not expecting and well I am so happy things are happening for him in big ways this past year and in the coming year. A Reunion Tour with the orig. band from the early 90's starts next month with shows in Texas and OK. As well as the release of this "lost" album, the Original And All The Colors..., the third album when they got dropped from the Record Company Label. So make sure you check that out if your in their area, it should be pretty amazing if you like Texas Blues Guitar Rock.

Just FYI, Here is Ian singing with the Jason Mraz band on tour last fall and where you will be able to catch him this coming Fall as well. Main Guitarists to Jason's right in the video.

Nice. They really give a feeling of the mood.
