I really like his friendly and trustworthy face on #1. I also like #4, seems to be the most natural expression, I just wish his shirt weren't all bunched up at his right shoulder.

Great work as usual, Paco.

I really like 1,2 and 4. I first looked through them with no context. I like to do that because many people will typically see photos with no explanation. As I did so I felt like I connected with all of them except for #3. When I got to #3 I didn't get it. This guy is holding strawberries and milk. To me I didn't look at the pic and go, "Ahh, healthy!"

The others I could definitely "feel" the explanations you gave when I read them afterwards. Excellent.

Melissa, thanks for your comments - yeah, he's wearing a shirt with a hoodie and it's a little bunched up. Hope it's not terribly distracting.

Brad, no argument that image #3 is the least "genuine" of the set, totally posed and fake - minimally he should be sitting at a kitchen table! Here is one where he is a bit more credible, but, still, not a "true" document of his personality. Thanks for pointing this out.

Here is another aspect of him, this time explaining something to me, and I liked his intensity and conviction:

Your explanation and intro, together with the second image, have me really wondering about this guy -- and why his hands look like they do. You don't get hands that look like that from lawyering behind a desk all day -- this guy has known an honest day's work in his life.

I've tried making up a couple of my own stories about your model, but I just have to ask, really, what's his background? Who is this guy really? (If he doesn't mind your sharing with us, I'm just curious to know.)

Jeff, I am not sure how much I can disclose publicly about this man - he shared with me some personal challenges he had, in confidence, but I am don't feel comfortable sharing those experiences on the internet. He works with his hands, and he's had a few fights here and there, and we'll leave it that!

I love seeing the scar on his hand in #2. I don't think that the position of his hand in #2 makes his hand look larger. Just look at #3 his hands are HUGE. I love that they are a feature in your photos.
I am a huge fan of the style of #1. I have always loved that look. Each photo tells a story, a very good story.
