Instead of posting a set of the same session, I thought it would be fun to mix it up and do a series of recent studio images. Just for something different. Critique if you'd like.

Great lighting in all of these. love the work..

All great except I don't like not being able to see the guitarist's eyes but maybe that was your intention.

I love the lighting in the first. And while I really dig the other two, they seem to lack a little fill light.

great shots though.

Maybe its just me.
#1 seems distorted, his head looks really large compared to the rest of him.
#2 Seems to be out of focus and most everyone has raccoon eyes
#3, He has no eyes.
I'm sure all the above issues I have is because I have ZERO artistic bones in my body. But hey, you asked :)

Thanks for the comments, everyone.

On the guitarist, the shadow on his face is intentional. He's an ald soul, swampy, blues guitarist/singer, and I wanted to make him look moody and mysterious.

For the derby girls, yeah, fill light was a problem. I had a PA with a huge white reflector, but it just didn't overcome the shadows, their dark eye makeup and hair, and their overlapping planes. Missed it, but I'm glad it's still decent.
