Bianca's Fifteen Photo Session - 10-16-2011, 11:19 AM

Critique: CC:

Had the pleasure of photographing Bianca. She was fun to work with as she has very nice personality, would make me and my assistant laugh without even trying. I was using my D80 in Commander Mode and my assistant was holding my flash for..( I still don't have stands or reflectors either). Any CC is greatly appreciated, here are my top three photos:

Pretty girl, and nice lighting & color contrasts.

The vertical "lines" in the background near her head are slightly distracting in the first two shots.

Take Care,

I see what you are referring to. It is very minor. It looks like the issue may be coming from a post process vignette that was applied.

Just a suggestion, but the next time you might try a shallower depth of field. I like the first one, but I'd try to remove that pole in the background. Pretty lady.

Photos seem a bit soft. Im wondering if its your camera work or this sites compression? you have these hosted on flickr or something?

About the photos.....

There is a line going straight up the middle in number one bisecting he image. usually always a no no.

Do not like the aluminum poles in #2. These do nothing for her at all.

Three is okay but I feel like the crop is kinda tight and vignetting makes it look amateur.

What kind of gear were rocking for this shoot?
