Critique: NC:

Well this week finally came, the day I shaved off my facial hair and head hair to support a young man with Terminal Brain Cancer.

I flew out to Portland to the Home Office of RadioPopper to teach a workshop, go over some soon to be new products which we have been working on for quite some time and then shave my head. Just wanted to share a few from the day as it was fun for everyone involved. Sadly Brent at 28 has Stage 4 Terminal Brain Cancer. With an 11 month old son we are doing our best to try and raise money for his son's college fun. Sadly it is harder than we wanted it to be, but we are not giving up. Brent has done so much for the photography industry that most would never know so it was our time (and still is) to try and give back to him. Making Brent smile was the goal and we successfully did that and a lot more.

(Photos taken by Pixtus long time member, good friend and ex-employee Jordan Chan) Thanks buddy for supporting as well!

Let the Games Begin!

Very cool. Are you going to miss the Zach Galifianakis references?

NICE! I am either the Commish back in the day or a Pawn Star guy (at least I don't look like Rick's son) :)

Look great boys...though I am partial to boys with shaved heads since my sons head looks just like that after his brain surgery but with an added bad arse scar :)))

Great work and I will keep your sweet friend and his family in my prayers.

Mike, I noticed in your initial message you say you are raising money for the son's college FUN... Nice touch but does he need extra money for that??

Brent's Cancer is Terminal - it is very rare and sadly no one with it has ever lived over 2 years. In his favor he is the youngest case on record of this rare form and they were able to remove the orig. apple size tumor, but it will be back as this form always grows back within an inch of the orig. tumor.

So yes, we are raising money for his son's college fun (who is 11 months old) because I know for me knowing my son's future was a little brighter by being a college graduate sure would make a weight off my shoulders.

Hope that answers your question.
