These first two shots were taken with the model standing directly in front of the 6x4 softbox, about two steps out from the diffuser panel.





This shot was taken with the model in the place shown in the diagram, up close at 55mm (I know, not the best focal length for female portraits).

I like the second shot and really love the sharpness and clarity of the last shot of her.

Love the first and third shots. Not that #2 is bad, it just doesn't wow me as much. The only thing about #3 is that her clumpy mascara is a huge distraction for me.

Great job 1 and 3 are my favs, theres something about number three that just pops. I cant wait to get my lights in a couple weeks and start doing shots like this, also thanks for the diagram Kirk.

did you do anything to her eyes in 3? like liqufy?

No Liquify on the eyes. Those are as-is except for sharpening and whitening.
