The red dress

My friend Salma and I got together this afternoon for some fun making images. she had some pretty dresses!

Because the dresses were so dressy, we opted for a classy look like this one below:



Technical details:
D700 with 70-200mm lens at 1/50s f/8.0 ISO200 98mm

Lighting: 3 E640 strobes powered by portable batteries.
(1) Key light on a beauty dish and 40 degree grid right in front and above the model.
(2) Accent light on the dress was another E640 on a short stand, about 2 ft. from the ground, gridded 30 degrees and pointed to the bottom half of the dress from camera right.
(3) E640 on a boom as a hair light.

Postprocessing:
Partial desaturation of the background, skin blemish removal, cropping, resizing, sharpening for the web.
