The background isn't ideal, but we were running out of places to shoot, as the park was pretty packed. Also, they seemed to have had some sort of race recently, and there was craptons of red crime scene tape OMG EVERYWHERE. But, overall it was still kinda pretty. I just maxed out my focal length(as much as I could with the space I had), used the minimum aperture, and shot away!
Self critique: I'll admit, this first image feels rigid and poorly-posed to me. I'm bad with groups of people, it's definitely one of my weaker points. Saying something that EVERYONE will grin at is difficult. Also, I wish I'd captured more ambient light.
Just the girls. Available light on this one. For some reason the flash didn't fire, but I liked this one for expression quality more than I liked the other one.
I just happened to catch this while we were figuring out who was going to have the next portrait. I think the mother really liked this one, and I'm glad I caught it.
