Critique: CC:

Was on location in the middle of a shoot today and had a few minutes downtime while the client and stylist were doing their thing.
Since the kiddo was with us we decided to take a few quick shots.
One of these will be our xmas card.

M9, Zeiss 50mm Planar, natural window light.

Ha. I'm not sure about one of these as a christmas card. I think they all need to be in a series. So cute! Although if I had to choose, I'd say the third one because it shows of her face and the hat well. However, you can't beat her expression in #1.

3 has personality, but it looking down and for that reason I'd take the happy expression in 1.

Looks like heavy PP on the face in #2. 1 is good but would be awesome if the kid's face was turned more towards the window and you could get some rebrandt lighting. I don't have to tell you how hard it is to pose/turn kids tho. FWIW

No PP at all on the face in #2.
In fact, no PP at all on these other than typical overall image adjustments during raw import. And brightening her left eye on #1.

#2 has a much warmer feel than #1 - look at the difference in the colors on the wall behind her. Did you change your WB or did the light shift? Very cute shots! :)

Thank you!

Yes, that one is a little warmer.
Like i said, typical overall raw image adjustments.
A little saturation, maybe a slight curve adjustment, a little contrast, fill light, etc. All overall image adjustments. It's a raw image, so none of that is applied in camera.

What i meant was the images didn't go into Color Efex Pro, portrait studio, get dodged and burned, or otherwise messed with outside of the typical stuff above.
