Critique: CC:

I have posted an image from this shoot in other thread. (not posting that image here) But would like to start a separate thread for CC. Let me know your thoughts.

Used only one off camera light - 580 EX II.

Um, WOW! Seriously remarkable. The first one has such a great glow it really is beautiful. It really looks like her personality is shining through and you really want to meet her.

#2, wow. Very sexy. I love the softer light and the way it falls off her.

#3 Great job isolating the background. The outfit is an interesting mix but that is amazing that you only used the one flash.

I totally agree with Keith. These are just gorgeous with only a 580EX. There's obviously some backlighting in the first two from windows? Great job!

Thank you Keith. Charrie and Marshall.

Charrie, Yes, first one had ambient in the background. Shot was taken after sunset at about 6:45pm, that is the reason to choose shutter speed of 1/80 and ISO 800.

Ambient is coming from side in the second image.

Terrific series!

#1 - amazing facial expression and a great background. A really engaging photograph.
#2 - beautiful and seductive, but I'm not sure about the placement of her left hand (nitpick only though)
#3 - Excellent leading lines in the background. Nice styling and pose on the model. Her legs look just fantastic.

Great job, Phanee! The first one is totally adorable, and my favorite. Excellent control of light and tonality.
