I really like the second one. It looks wonderfully spontaneous. And great light. I love natural light. Mainly because it's free. But also a bit b/c it looks good. But mainly because it's free. What can I say? I'm cheap.

At first I couldn't put my finger on what I didn't like about the first photo. But it is the pose. And I think the problem stems from her head position. Leaning her head into the gate kind of slumps her posture and lowers her arms. It almost looks like she has a tummy ache.

Pretty girl with good expression. Where did you find her? Teen model vending machine?

Prophet out.

Canon 300D, Canon 5D and some glass and stuff. Wan'na make something of it?.

Thanks for your thoughts. She's from Humble. She's 14, cute girl. Has a lot of expression in her and I think she'll only get better over time. And you are right, the pose has some problems in the first shot. I was so concered about timing the train correctly I wasn't paying enough attention.

Love that second shot! Just a touch too heavy processing, and that could be 'cus of the smaller size conversion.

Not a huge fan of the train in the first one.. It's distracting to me, and it seems out of place. The foreground looks like a cute park area, but then there's this random train crashing through it. The post-processing kind of makes her face seem a little large, like it was photoshopped on.. Maybe that's just the lighting or something.. I don't think the pose is all that bad, though. Not a fan of her expression in the second one either.. At the risk of sounding trashy, it looks sort of blow-up doll-ish. I think it's her eyes.. It just doesn't look genuine. Love the lighting though, very nice and soft.
