Well, I finally got around to editing her choices from our shoot. It's funny cuz I only shot about 25 images over about 45 minutes, and between her favories and mine, I guess the keeper rate was around 40%! Geez.

I liked this one; this was actually a candid. I'm never funny, so it musta been the MUA who said something to make her laugh :

Thanks

The "candid" is great... do not like the light at all in the last one.. and the first one of the new set seems like the light could be hitting her face just a touch lower... the lights on the first set were better, I thought.

Still, I love the conversion here.. it does have a wonderful nostalgic feel to them overall.

I like number 4 of the OP the best. The only thing that I would have to say, it's minor, is get a little detail in the hat to seperate it from the background.

Nice.

Thanks guys!

Brad, that was actualy the same lighting setup as the first... there were only two. The second batch, it was just her position in the lights that made the difference.

I agree with the comments - hence why I chose the first batch :)

Thanks Andy! I love your stuff, so I really appreciate the comment ma man.

are you using flash or continous light? This is about the best reproduction of that kind of photography I have seen in a while so I'm wondering, were you able to do it with flash?
Thanks for sharing those...

Dang, I need to look at the pbase thingy, pics aren't showing up :(

Thanks Joshua; all modesty aside I have to agree. But I lay a lot of that at the hands of Danielle; her face was built for this style of photography, that's why I asked her to do this sesison with me. The best one I've seen from another photographer that I really, really liked was from this guy: http://modelmayhem.com/member.php?id=7122

To answer your question, this was with flash.
