Thirteen weeks ago I posted a picture of my grandson, Zack, just before he left for Marine boot camp. Well he finished boot camp and has been home for a week now on leave. He left today going back to Camp Pendleton for 3 more weeks of combat training. After that he's not sure where he is going. Anyway, 1st picture is before he left. Rest of them taken yesterday. What a difference 13 weeks can make. As some of you marines know, he has changed...and for the better. |

Thanks guys, and yes, I really had to work to get that smile. We're really proud of this young man. Next Monday my second grandson, Chris, leaves for Camp Pendleton, so we now have two grandsons to worry about. Chris has a totally different personality than Zack, so it will be interesting to see how Chris changes. These two cousins were pretty close growing up. |
