A first shot from my Valentine's Evening shoot with Priscilla... others will be shared later in the Human Form section.
I like these big white coats.. they really lend themselves to this kind of shot.

I asked her multiple times if she minded (this was the only time the model had for the next several weeks) and was assured that it wasn't a problem.
Of course, V-Day is not a holiday we go out of our way for... we've had some very BAD days over the years. (Last year, a beloved aunt of my wife's died... we got the call at 10am on Valentine's Day.) Most years, we just hope that nothing at all happens.

lol....i'm just messing with ya. We dont celebrate v-day here either. I never have, which yes is odd for a girl with a man. I'm not really big on the flowers any other day of the year either, I think they're a waste of money personally. But that's a different thread, dont want to hi-jack this one.
I agree too about the coats like that...need to find me one of my own.

Very nice. Good job on the exposure. I always have problems getting dark skin tones right if there are bright elements in the shot. Worked really well with the high key.

Nice job Brad! The only thing I personally might do is bring out a tiny bit more detail to the lower half of the image to make it more comparable to the top. Love the high key with her skin tones!

Ya, I can see that.. personal preference, I guess... I just tried to leave just enough detail that you could see there was a coat there, without really showing the coat. (Didn't want for it to look like the face was just photoshopped out of some other image.. but to be as bright white as possible.)
Thanks for all the comments! There is more of Priscilla now over in the Human Form section: http://www.texasphotoforum.com/forum...ad.php?t=41430

I like the color contrast here. Have you posted your setup before?

Brandon: No, I haven't.. this is a three light setup... two on her and one pointed at the background... I did have to clean up the background some because I only have one background light, so there was a gray gradient toward the top right corner. The light on camera left is a softbox, the right is a silver umbrella reflected... you can see a roundish catchlight in her left eye and a square one in her right from those two lights.
Thanks for looking and commenting, guys
