What kind of setup were you using? Did you have a lot of space? If so you should def move farther away from the background...especially a sheet. I like the first two shots, just not crazy about the sheet.

I like the concept. Try duplicating layers.. Blurring the heck out of it and then add back in the original subject via a layer mask. Make that background look good.

Thanks for sharing. I am glad people don't use space and equipment as excuses and just get out there and shoot (and share). Thanks for that.

Ok, you get to shoot the cool stuff. My daughter won't let me even ask her friends to do stuff like this. As far as the pics, I like them, but I would boost the contrast some. I do like the idea, a lot.

I like the last shot the best.

If you don't bother backdrops yet, the wall may photograph better than the sheet. It honestly didn't bother me, but since a few other people mentioned it - I thought I'd mention the wall. Our walls here and all over town have that Spanish Drag finish on them (bumpy texture that is dragged down the wall). It creates a neat texture in the background...just an option.

You're off to a good start. And I like grunge & dark images - good combo. :O)
