I had the distinct pleasure of shooting a wedding with Mike (MyKey), Cody (jcclinton), and Sheldon yesterday. I want to thank them for the lessons learned!

It was a lot of fun (yes, really). I learned a lot - including that I need a faster wide angle lens! I've got well over 400 shots to process - some are good, some are not.

Here's one I liked. I have always loved the emotion that comes across in a couple's first dance. I think this one shows that.

Great shot. Love the feeling it gives. What kind of lighting did you use, Jesus?

Don't mind at all...as long as you explain what you did and why!

Alright cool

Well first I cropped it a little tighter, there was something about the open white space at the top that was bothering me

Then I went to
Image>Adjustments>Curves and set the curve to what you see in the screenshot below

I then went to Image>Adjustments>Levels and set the levels to what you see in the screenshot below

simple, but adds some contrast and saturation

End result

Definitely...I am yet to master curves (or a bunch of other stuff in PSCS!) I look at each of these posts, specially detailed ones like yours, as a private lesson in PS!

I actually liked the white space - to me, it implied that even though there was all this room about them, they were in a world all their own. I do see your reason for it as not everyone sees things as "romatically" as I do (hmm...note to self...)

The funny thing about it is that you basically un-did the "Ethereal Glow" action I applied to it!

Thanks...I appreciate it - and I do like it!

Cool, you can add the softness back in with a second layer of the pic and gausiann blur plus some opacity changes :P

good luck, have fun, and of course... keep shooting :D

What a pretty shot. Mike and Cody must have magic fairy dust they sprinkle over all their photographers. You guys are great!
