diff shoots but bummed about tonight :( - 09-20-2007, 12:00 AM

I am so bummed....
yikes I had such a hard time as I tried using natural light instead of lamps due to the baby being very jaundiced :( and figured the lamps will add to his orange skin tone... well mom and dad kept getting right in front of light in a tiny room.. Ughhhhh oh yeah and baby peed on all my stuff a total of 4 times.. missed my camera by a hair he did splatter it a bit.. yikes and my black drop is so peed on I am washing everything tomorrow and the drop has to go to the dry cleaners

on this one I actually had to erase the pee that was puring down LOL

He is a sweetie and mom and dad are very nice I am just so bummed not what I had envisioned I need to learn how to use my flash to be able to bounce it from ceiling.. i did a few and OMG it sucked LOL... I do not like most of the pics :( I have done newborns before and been somewhat happy with them but not tonight :(

This other one is from one of my best friends from high school :)

my son practicing with my lights at the house

one of my nieces from last week

another niece from a couple of weeks ago

and another niece

I am so behind in proofing LOL

Loana,
It must be nice to have so many niece's to practice with! I only have one, and she's not that cooperative! I understand your frustration with the lights!! I'm sure someone will have some advice. Still, I think you got some shots the parents will be happy with.

Cheer-up, Loana. These turned out nicely. You're processing has really improved. My favorite is image 3 (maybe w/ just a slight contrast bump). But the composition is great.

well if you hate these, then I'd hate to see the ones you love!
I like the composition on these and the BW conversion!

Loana,

Way to keep your backdrops from getting peed on: Take one of those absorbent diaper shields for baby and lay in on the backdrop, between the blanket (prop) and backdrop. Can't see it in the photo, but you don't have to wash the backdrop or clean up...just pitch it in the trash can!

I learned that from a photographer that does nothing but infants and children. She has canvases that are worth 3-5K each and doesn't want to have to clean pee off of them! LOL
