My nephew playing with tonka's in the dirt. Is it missing "pop" or do you folks think it is ok? I like it I just think it could be more, or is it just me being too picky

Overall I like it but I think that a tighter crop at the bottom, almost squar format, would be better.

I tried totally square and it didn't look right to me but made it just a bit taller than wide and this is what I got...thanks for the good idea I think that helps alot

I like it too, but it seems a little flat to me.

I did a quick adjustment in ACR to bump up the contrast. If that's not ok, let me know and I'll remove it.

Very nice Matt. I have no issues with people showing me improvements on my photos. It did bring alot more detail into view. (i see more freckles and detail in his hair). I think sometimes I over kill the noise reducer. I read a statement in another post earlier and it said something about the smoothness of childrens skin and why mess with it. you have proven that true with your edit :)

Hey thanks. I did do a small amount of USM only cause it looked a tad soft. There wasn't any EXIF, so I'm not sure what your settings were. (looks like you were almost wide hope...maybe shot at 2.8?)

Basically, I just adjusted the exposure by about a 3rd of a stop. Bumped the blacks a little, bumped the fill light and bumped up the contrast (all by about 20 or so...maybe less)

then sharpened via usm to bring out that hair a little.

Matt I was about 15ft away shooting my 70-200 2.8 with a 2x tc (went out to shoot birds in the back yard) and it was f5.6 at 300 mm iso 100 here is the original before bw conversion. I still have much to learn about PP
