That's a great street scene. Often street scenes will have a very high sense of business and can benefit from alluding to a point of focus. This can often be accomplished through cropping for a different feel. I tried doing just that and here's what I came up with. Tell me whether you get a different feel from viewing it?

I see your point. I like your crop because it removes the telephone pole & the truck, plus it moves the subject off-center.......
