I feel like these could have been a lot better, but my brain hurts after my day at work and wrangling these two. So help me out! My setup - my AlienBee 400 was bout 4 feet to my left, and some windows on my right. The AB400 was around 1/16 or so, pretty low. The EXIF info - f/1.8, 1/250s, ISO100. These were all w/the 50mm f/1.4. Also, I ps'd the background.

The exposure is good and the expressions are OK so what do you not like about them? With the setup you have the only thing I would do differently would be to turn the subjects so they are not straight to the camera like in the last image.

I would close down the aperture. Shooting at f/1.8 with strobes isn't done much due to the shallow DOF. I'd suggest you try about f/8. Your lens will perform much better and your shots will be much sharper.

Thanks guys. Posing could definitely be better (though I don't get a ton of control over that w/these two, lol) and I honestly thought was at f/3.5 when I started shooting. This is what I get for shooting in a hurry, heh.
