i am a contrarian, so here's an example of NOT doing all that. you know...just to be fair and balanced!

Which is why getting it in the camera is of prime importance. Light, camera, girl.

While I think your photo is stunning on it's own, I don't think a little post processing in moderation is harmful.

for me pp adds one stop of good. So say for example you were shooting a straight out of camera shot at f-good this would equate to a pp image at f-great! :)

If you're happy straight out of the camera, then you are missing a big part of photography IMHO. Granted, trash in is trash out...so getting it right in the camera is of utmost importance...but to me pp equates to what master printers used to do.

However, having said that, there is a tendency to over do it photoshop.

I like the photo btw.

oh, i never said i didn't do photoshop, or that this was straight out of the camera. i love photoshop and lightroom! i just believe in handcrafting rather than running robotic actions. most of them tend to leave some undesirable evidence of their passing. i also think that as far as skin smoothing and the like that if you can tell it was done, then it was over done. i'm not that good at it, so i stick to fixing zits!
