Thanks for sharing. |
Thanks for the words, the book will be in many sizes but overall it will be printed by Miller's Print Press in an 8x8" format with Pearl Paper on the cover.

BUT, as a mom with a son who will be taking his senior pictures NEXT summer I object to the lack of guys! There were only 3 small shots of males and two of those had similar poses.
Just my .02. I'm guessing the parents of daughters spend more money.. is that it? I'm really just kidding. Just wanted to vent a little!!
Again, beautiful work! |
Yep you got it, girls spend more money, more fun to shoot and overall just have a better time. Not that we don't shoot guys we do but girls rule compared to guys in this business!

The only thing that bugs me is the collage on page 14-15. I don't know if it is on purpose or not, but the little windows are not exactly lined up/spaced apart and it is somewhat distracting. |
Thanks for the nice words and yes the windows are by design, some love it and some don't but all look and that is the key :)

As for marketing - friggin fantastic. It has info in it that they'll hold onto. We've been doing info marketing pieces with the bridal shop. Holy cow - those things get passed around! |
I think I answered it a couple times, but mostly will be Miller's 8x8" printpress softcover albums with Pearl Paper on the cover. But also the mailer will be 8.5x8.5" with glossy paper and there will be 1000 of them mailed out.

We have several mailing lists which have been in the past have been great. So 4 oversized postcards will be mailed out first then an 8 page version of the album above will be sent off as the last of the first 5 mailers.
The full album (as you see above) has been printed out through Miller's Lab Print Press as an 8x8" softcover album with Pearl paper cover and given out to certain clients which we know will assist us in getting more seniors.

Page 18-19 the picture of the girl on the far right might be a little much for seniors...even I know the senior LOVES it... her legs and low neck line might bother some mothers and fathers. Its such AMAZING work I would hate people to get turned off by that photo |
I see your point and I agree it can be sexy but that is by design, if parents do not want that they can go to another photographer. TriCoast as with anything we do, tries to display our style blended in with our clients style. While some wont like that image thinking it is too sexy, we enjoy giving our clients something different than the other photographers in the area. Marketing first sets yourself apart then your art. There are a ton of amazing photographers one can go too and if we are not right for them, I will gladly help them find another photographer for them, its not personal its just business! I hope that did not sound too "Stuck Up" we just enjoy pushing the edge a little and not be one of the photographers which falls in the cracks by following all the rules.
