Climbing out of a dryer - 07-14-2008, 02:06 PM

I did this shoot a while back, early this summer, out in Lewisville with one of my friend's girlfriends for Ladis of Metal. While I wasn't too terribly impressed with the initial photos, a little PP really brought out the contrast and sharpness in the scene.

Anyhow, here are the photos:

Now, that is funny.

I did not like the pose, with her head disproportion with the rest. the lighting is OK but not interesting. Keep on shooting.

If you don't mind me asking, what makes the lighting not interesting?

You mean the septum piercing :P

While I don't really have a problem with retouching blemishes, stray hairs, etc., I do have an ethical issue with removing something someone put on their body.

Thanks everyone, please keep the comments coming.

I like the first one best (don't necessarily like the piercing, but I agree ... it's part of who she is, as clear as the nose on her face).

Edited: Checked out the Ladies of Metal site and it's pretty cool. Kind of "Suicide Girls" with a sharper edge.

I like the connection in the second one.
Something about her eyes draw you in, and the way they match her hair is awesome =]
I love the setting also, the scratches on the dryer and everything.
Nice job!

I like them both. The awkwardness is crucial in both of these so proportions dont really bother me. First one would top the second but I like seeing her eyes in the second.
Would you think about adding a little color in her left leg...it looks like her circulation has been cut off from a long dryer session :)

Love the dryer. There is some distortion but it works with the images I think.

I actually noticed that as I originally uploaded it, and immediately fixed it in the full resolution version. I accidentally overlapped one of my layer masks and, well, yeah, took out the color.

Thanks everyone.

The images are well lighted. But they look a bit flat for me. I like to light at an angle to give a 3D look. It is just my taste.
