OK, I have issues with cute. I like the photo I posted yesterday a million times better than these, but people ask for these too. So there ya go.
Just wondering if we are in cute territory?

definitely in the cute arena......squarely, positively, absolutely.
altho personally i might like a black background. but that's just me. maybe. less cute, more impact imho

OK, thats good to know. I easily confuse cute with cheesy. At some point those 2 collide. Not sure where. My cute-o-meter is having someone say, awh! when looking at them. But how subjective is that? ;o)
I was cosidering a subdued golden background, but I thought it would take it from cute to pretty...and cute sells better. Friggin cute babies! lol. Babies are so fat and cute!

I think it's cute and cheesy
The baby doesn't look very sharp in the first photo, but does in the 2nd.
Not sure why that is. | | | |

definitely in the cute arena, but it's the "hat" that kills it for me. Is it too big? Should it be just a snow cap? I don't know...but the rest is definitely very cute...

I'm thinking the hat is the part the client probably wanted.

The 1st shot has a glower on it. When it was saved for web, it seemed to make it much softer. The 2nd shot is sharp and it looks soft after I saved it too.
The clients like the big bonnets. Have you seen the size of the little girls hair bows around here? They look like they belong on a bridesmaid's butt. I have a little bonnet too. They always chose the bigger ones.

I like the second one better, mainly because you can see the eyes. As far as "cute," I can see a client wanting this. But to me it just looks like torture. Or blackmail for the parents to use later to enforce curfew ... "You'd better be home by 9 or I'm sending out the flower-hat photo to all your friends!"

As Dean Collins often said, "Beauty (cute) is in the eye of the checkbook holder."
