Miss Va US 08. C&C Please - 10-11-2008, 01:11 AM

Had the Chance to photograph this fine young (40) lady this past week for the Cover of a local Woman's Magazine here in Richmond and thought I would share a couple of the head shots as well as a shot of her and her two English Mastiff's I took while we were shooting other things.

I know the one of her standing with her English Mastiff's is not the best because of the shadow on camera left, but not a lot I could do unfortunately with 12:00 High Sun and only me holding the reflector and not having an assistant to hold off camera flash but I did the best I could do I think with what I had.

That's a big hat!

These are pretty nice. In the last one, the signpost at right is kind of distracting. I might have tried one with her back to the sun and using fill flash to light her face.

Nice series, pretty lady. I echo the comment about the sign post. Also, on 3 and 4 I would clone out the wrinkles at the top of her forehead.

She's gorgeous.

Tough conditions. Why do people always want to shoot outdoors at high noon???

That hat is overpowering...
