Very Impressive!!! You're model rocks too!!! Love the wardrobe and makeup. Did you use the ring flash for all the shots?

Thanks Rob

#6 was from a soft box. Everything else was from a ring flash.

Yea its the angle. It is doing nothing for her. She looks much older there.

I guess too much tilt. I'll watch out for that.

Thanks for the feedback.

Thanks for the compliment Mark.

We tried our best to control the hair from the wind but it was near impossible in downtown Dallas. We had the photo shoot last Saturday and it was extremely windy. I think it was around 15 to 20mph gust.

Wow, these are fantastic!

I can agree with how No. 3 almost doesn't fit with the other shots. Her eyes are crinkled up and either some dental work is showing in the corner of her mouth or the light is just hitting her teeth in a weird way.

I'm happy to see that someone has figured out how to use a ringflash without blowing out the skin texture and leaving the tell tale halo around the subject.

Well done!

I thought that was the whole reason for using a ring flash...

Don't know about that. I find balanced lighting for editorial style work much more pleasing. If you can do it with a ring flash, that's worth of kudos as far as I'm concerned. YMMV.

It was the lighting.

I'm trying to learn how to clone out stuff but I'm having hard time learning/understanding some of these online tutorials.

Nice photos and pretty model. Don't mean to hijack the thread but there is a nice video review of a few ringflashes over on sportsshooter recently: http://www.sportsshooter.com/special...ing-flash.html
