Portrait C&C - Skin and WB - 02-17-2009, 03:29 PM

I'm always unsure of my WB, so any feedback from someone with a hardware calibrated monitor would be appreciated.

The client really likes this shot, so I played around a bit with some skin smoothing in Lightroom 2.2. Is it too much? (lightened the teeth in PS also).

Shot on left is processed and blemishes removed, on right is after applying skin smoothing.

very nice...I didn't see any blemishes in the first shot..but you can definitely tell the skin looks better.

WB is always relative to what you're after with the image. Here is what Imagenomic Portraiture does for skin smoothing as a comparison. Not much difference. A warmer tone may not look natural to the parents if she is fair skinned. Good job.
