I don't feel like I'm good at critiquing, but you're asking and nobodies are answering...so I'm going to try!! Overall I like it...as a mom I love it. As a photographer what bothers me is the "lightness" that covers his face and the front part of his hair, leaving the top of his hair dark. It also appears soft, but I never know if that is really the photo, or if you are like me and just have issues when uploading onto the web!!

Could just be the pp or the conversion, but his cheeks look blown out. Also, I'd probably try to crop out the granola bar. ;)

Great post and expression though.

Marleny, as a non-pro I have a difficult time criticising other people's work when I like the subject and overall composition. It is what it is...a little boy sitting with a snack with a big smile on his face. I think it is a little soft in focus - perhaps that was your intent? My only thought is that I would have shot a series of images in different positions and perhaps come up with something a little more "attention getting" to the viewer. To me, that's just too much of an everyday type of pose for a subject that offers more potential. Definitely nothing "wrong" with the shot if that was what you wanted, though.

Note: Its so much easier to shoot images than to criticise them...

Thanks for the feedback!! It's getting really hard to take posed shots of my kids. I think I'm getting a little bored of my little ones running away from me when the camera comes out. I loved this one, because it's one of the only pics I have of him really smiling big...you can see all his teeth almost! It is a bit soft. I know it's not the best technical shot, but I love the expression.
