Please c/c lighting and editing?

Playing with the grand kids I played with some lighting. I am posting both before and after. Please tell me how the lighting looks and the editing. On the last one, please tell me if it is workable. I had pulled my back light and for got to turn it off , and now I have this hot spot on the side of the faces. Thank you in advance.

give us some time....: ) these are good!! I really like the background on these. That second expression cracks me up!! i think you're right about the last photo...but I'll let the light experts tell you about that. Any chance you have the childs right arm in the photo on that second one? You are really doing good...maybe I'll come over for a lesson one of these days!!!

One thing I have been working extremely hard on, is to make the skin tones match in all the photos. It is difficult for me to tell, but it appears the second retouched photo is lighter than the first one..you might check them side by side to see for sure.
