why you need liability insurance!!! - 03-18-2009, 02:45 PM

So I took a friends kids and took them for photos. We barely got started and stopped by this dumpster to take a couple photos. As the boy was climbing down the dumpster...WHOOOPS!!! fell and hit his head on a hook on the side of the dumpster. 2 staples and 5 hours in the ER...thank goodness and of course Mom says it is no big deal...but..IF

So here are three..I'm trying to decide which one I like. I have done nothing to this but downsize them. Those eyes are amazing..the reason why I wanted to shoot him in the first place!!

I even offered to pay the deductible to the ER and she refused...these are the kinds of friends it is nice to have. She said, he could have done the same thing with me (meaning her) That is exactly how I feel..but lawsuits these days....

wow. no kidding. this is why i'm only really shooting -close- friends for now...one because i don't feel i have enough experience yet to be 'in business', and two because i'd need to get that ins stuff setup! wow.

anyway, i like the first one myself.

Lucky it must have been a GOOD friend. :)

I like the angle of #2 but the lighting of #1.

#3 shouldn't be an option IMO, he's squinting and IMO it makes the photo a miss.

I;m glad you noticed that, but I think it is due to his smile..look at this photo...look how those beautiful things disappear!!

Nice work, and thanks for sharing your story.

Now, I'm all for seeking out the best light and interesting backgrounds, but a climbing on a Dumpster? Ewww. :-)

Actually he was climbing the dumpster to throw away something he found...I had nothing to do with it!!! And it wasn't for a photo op!! That would have made me feel really bad!!

That's good! Or bad ... I don't let my kids touch a Dumpster. What was his mom thinking?

Hi Renae, OK so I've gotta ask too - why the dumpster? The photos look great by the way - way to go! If he was my boy I'd be happy.
