No offense taken...in fact that's the preferred comment. Now, in respect to MarkPerez lets get back on subject

There are a few simple rules that I pass on to my clients, and I seems that they usually follow my advice, leading to better pictures.

Long sleeves are better than short. There is nothing attractive about the upper arm for this type photography.

Solids are always best! Strips are "okay...". Patterns are a NO NO!

Complimentary clothing ALWAYS looks better than "matching".

Once they pick out what everyone will wear, have them physically lay it all out on a bed and see if ANYTHING stands out. If it stands out on the bed, it will stand out in their pictures.

You may even go as far as to help them select colors if they ask, and my customers often do.

Hope this helps,

Joe

Agreed, I never really offered my comments but I'm in the "classic khaki or denim pants with a white/black/grey/taupe button down top" camp. Do not let them wear cutting edge colors or fashion - like Donna said it will quickly date the photo.

Hmmmm, I said "Do not"..."do not"..."do nut"..."DONUT"!!!!!! That's it, let them wear anything they want as long as they bring donuts!
