My kids are taking my wife and me to Hawaii for our 40th anniversary.
My problem: I got outvoted, and am going on one of the submarine cruises, or whatever they call 'em..to view the undersea wonders. Now: Apparently, it's a real sub, and we will be submerged to a depth of 100 feet ( I hope to hell it ain't 100 meters!

)
To me, that is like flying in a helicopter. If there's
any possible way to avoid it...
Knowing that colors in the red spectrum are absorbed by the water, and everything looks blue-greeny, what filter and/or white balance setting do I use get fairly realistic colors? The Nikon tech was no help. She suggested a polarizing filter.

HUH? Somehow, that just doesn't seem right. School me, please!
I was thinking fluorescent setting, because fluor. lights are mostly greenish, but then I thought, shade and /or overcast will warm up the balance, soooo...maybe that would help. Then I got to thinking my 81A warming filter might do the job.
HELP!
