For those that have asked about how the lights were set for the various Boneyard pictures.. here's a quick snap of the layout.. its dark because, well, its a haunted house. LOL

For pictures that were taken with this setup, check out threads I've started in People in the month of October.. particularly the Carnage the Clown thread and the Boneyard Pics thread.

Brad
Sorry that I didn't get to stop by to say hello.

Did this venture work out financially ???
I have no desire to set up something like this, but am just curious as to
how it goes vs. the time/effort expended..

We were there every Friday and Saturday starting Sept 30, one Sunday in the middle of the month, and the 30th and 31st. We collected enough money to pay for our supplies (ink and paper, of which, we still have some left), the software I bought right before this (Corel Knockout 2) and the printer (the Epson R200). We gave back a little more than 10% of the gross take to Special Olympics of Texas, leaving us with enough cash to pay for our trip to Boerne this coming weekend for my wife's side of the business. We gave out well over 200 business cards and while we haven't booked any appointments as a direct result of us being out there, we did have a number of people tell us they would be calling after Halloween was over.

So in the end, the real question is will we do it again next year.. and the answer to that is yes, most likely. I do have two weddings already booked for next October, so it will be hard to see if there will be a conflict this far out.. but the weddings would obviously win that contest. :)

We had a LOT of fun, met some cool people, and our kids (who worked in the house - my son as a zombie and my daughter as a food runner, getting food for actors on breaks) were able to be part of something that was larger than themselves. It was a GREAT time.
