is there a standard for catchlights? My fill is creating a 2nd catchlight. Is the 2nd catchlight a distraction, what does anyone else do/think?

If it bothers you then clone it out. That is such a small light you should have no problem gettng rid of it.

It doesn't really bother me, but I usually clone it out in any image closer than 3/4 length. I have heard judges comment, "We only have one sun so there should only be one catchlight." But that never made sense to me since most of us don't use sunlight in the studio.

I usually don't clone out any catchlights, a single large umbrella can look like multiple catchlights at websize.

Or you can try and place your fill in such a way that it doesn't create the catchlight. Remember angle of incidence equals angle of reflection. It's physics

Think outside the box and leave the kiosk lighting for, well, the kiosks... Try bouncing your light into a matte reflector. Or maybe off the ceiling. YMMV...

And don't sharpen the catchlights... That makes them too obvious and almost 'fake' IMHO.

good point about a different placement of the 2nd light.
