For the last couple of years I've shot several on-location events for a company in Allen. I've been using DPP profesional to start EOS capture via firewire from my 1dmkII to my laptop. My assistant then opens a "windows" folder, and using the microsoft SW, we then print full frame 4x6 photo's out to inkjet printers. The problem I'm having is that most of the portraits I've been taking are taken "vertically" and the auto-rotate only seems to work for the camera LCD... DPP professional works pretty good to edit the RAW images and provide somewhat a quick preview but the "streamline" that I would like to get to with this work, is pretty slow. The folks at the company are not concerned about the pictures being on inkjet, although if I had more resources I would love to upgrade to a thermal printer.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a SW package that will let me preview the images on my laptop pretty quickly, then queue them to a printer ? Of course it will need to work well with EOS capture so I can continue to "download" direct from the camera.
Thanks alot.
