Question on Canon Bracketing - 11-16-2009, 08:09 AM

I just watched a video where a Nikon user set his camera to bracket 5 shots from -2 to 2. When I do this on my Canon I set it to -2 to 2. Take 3 shots and then set it to -1 to 1 and take 3 more. I then throw away 1 of the middle duplicates to make my 5.

Is there some setting I'm missing that allows me to do this in one shot instead of 2 like the Nikon? Thanks.

Nope. 5DMkII only does 3 shots at a time in AEB.

Some of the Canon cams (1DMkIII for example) have a custom function that allows you to change from 3 to 5 or 7 or some other number of AEB shots, but I don't think the 5DMkII has that function.

I didn't know any Canon cameras would do more than three. I guess I haven't had that level of a Canon yet. That can be handy for HDR.
