A parent contacted me about making a custom mini poster for her son and two of his football teammates. C&C definitely welcomed.

Looks pretty good to me. Only thing I see is a little off balance. I'd move the two vertical photos under #66, Kevin to the left and have #40 Dalton in the middle unless there's some reason they have to be in the order they are now. I don't see anything else and the balance thing is being picky.

How did you guess?

Actually, all three friends are getting these posters.

I like it. It looks really pro. Roy has a good suggestion, it will help balance the poster, but otherwise I'd show to the parents and see how they like it. No sense in driving yourself nutty over something the parents are going to love either way.

CaptainTom - I've already tried differnet colors, but they either clash with the Dolphins color scheme or some background colors wash out the color of the picture frames.

Roy - Thanks for the suggestion. I'll work on it during lunch.

evil4blue - appreciate the comments.

Possibly do the names in Dolphin orange so that the names stand out a little more

I thought about that idea, but I don't want the orange to distract your attention away from the photos.

Personally I really dislike the round matte around the top three pictures, but other than that I think it looks great.

I think you'll be OK, they have a thin candy shell. I'm surprised you didn't know that.

That's thinking like a photographer ... back in the day, I was in the papers for winning chess tournaments at 11 yrs of age and the pictures were fine, but seeing my name in print and on a poster really, really JAZZED me ... consider the poster from an artist's point of view, then from the kids point of view, then the parents point of view, then a photographer's point of view ... it may change the way it is presented

By an artist's point of view, I mean the use of colors, contrast, space, dominance, and all that jazz ...

Looking it over once again, I tried to view it as if I was standing back a ways. The white parts around the photos are what really stand out since the photos and background are a medium tone. The next thing that stands out would be the numbers on top and the Triple Threat text at the bottom and most likely because of the white and orange parts.

This is fun! I envy you your project!

Silvernic - For the most part I tried to stick with the same theme/format, but I wanted to try something differnt with the Matte in those photos.

mattchow - Unfortunately that was the only semi close-up photo I took of that player.
