By the way, Chuck Gardner on DPR forum (someone who's opinion on lighting I find right on), uses this on a flash bracket for candid shots.

I made mine out of a medium thickness No Parking sign I bought for $3 at Home Depot. I could make 5 of these out of one sign. I think a better solution is to go to TAP plastics. They might even have some material that is slightly textured to help diffuse the light a little more. YMMV.

now thats a great (and cheap) idea!

everytime i try to find that 80/20 diffuser at a local store they are always sold out...

guess i can always make my own. hehe. im gonna send this over to Photo tips for sure..
