I'll also confirm the ziplock trick. I've used it many times and as for ziplocks big enough, I'll confirm that too as I've used it with my 200-400. Costco used to carry the big ones but I don't know if they still do.

Put your gear in the bag before you leave the house and don't take them out until you're in the pool area. They should be fine or if they do fog up it won't take long for them to acclimate.

Fog Eliminator from Nikon
Not sure if this would work. Not only does your lense fog up, but also your mirror. I don't think that I would chance rubbing anything on my mirror.

Do you go to a lot of meets? Or is this your first? The Mansfield Nat is my son's home pool (he's a swimmer) and their upstairs spectator area tends to be extra hot. much hotter and more humid than most pools. I've actually never taken my camera in there (and the fogging never occurred to me so thanks!!), but I've taken my camera and video cam to lots of other pools and have never had that problem.

So I don't have a solution other than telling you the Mansfield situation is probably unique? And it's also much cooler and less humid downstairs. Although you probably can't sit there as a spectator, maybe you could go a little early to let your camera acclimate? I have no idea.

The only science here is keeping the camera equipment *warmer* than the temperature of the humid room. A heated brick in an insulated camera bag (I have actually used insulated food bags) is the concept we're looking for.
