Polarizer question - 02-15-2010, 12:20 PM

I have a hoya circular polarizer on a tokina 11x16 lens. Was out shooting at caprock canyon state park and looking at several of the photos today on the computer, I'm getting a dark blue blob in the image. What'd I screw up?

Not a flicker subscriber so I can't (won't) view the images.

Usually when using a wide angle lens with a polarizing filter, the sky color density will modulate because the angle of the polarized rays change across the horizon.

Try THIS link for an explanation.

You might also try a standard polarizer.
