Photoshop and Nikon NEF Whats up?

I downloaded a "trial" version of PHotoshop CS2. Seems like a comprehensive program but one caveat. I can't access any "*.NEF" file pictures. It will access jpeg's but not raw nikon images. I thought it may be from Nikon capture doing the downloading so I tried to download from PS. It wouldn't even do that. I'll assume I'm doing things wrong here, but don't know what. It's very depressing to realize you can't even do the basics of a program
BTW It is the "full version" on a thirty day trial basis!

haha why didnt you just "download" the full version.

you may be dealing with an LE that may be restricting use of the more advanced features like the ACR tools. or maybe you just need to download the 3.3 ACR update.

Eric, you need the latest version of the Adobe Camera RAW plugin to read files from the D70s. You can download the plugin for free from Adobe:

You'll need to register and login in order to complete the download.

THanks a million John! I use my spouse's hp laptop mostly (windows). I'll download the patch tonight. Why didn't they just include it with there most current version? especially if it's downloaded from there websight?
